This beautiful saxophone-solo is from the Stan Getz CD: " Anniversary ! " . To me Stan Getz is the perfect example of what improvisation is all about. The build up in his solo's, the use of motives, the use of upperstructures, the use of space, it's all fenomenal and in perfect balance. Maybe that's why practicing Getz is somewhat frustrating. I actually stopped doing that some time ago. This is only the first chorus of his solo, but is already worth a lifetime of practice!!
