Transcriptions: Autumn Leaves by Christiaan 'Niliov' van Hemert

This is one of the first pianosolo's I ever transcribed. I remember it sounded really "hip" to me back then. I was surprised to discover the "hip" licks were mostly pentatonic patterns and the use of tritone-substitutions. The solo is taken from the first CD by violinist Didier Lockwood. I doubt if the CD is still for sale. Not to worry though: the solo is over Autumn Leaves; so maybe owning the CD is not a must.
