Transcriptions: There is no Greater Love by Christiaan 'Niliov' van Hemert

This week a beautiful solo by rising star Peter Weniger. This young german saxophone-player is already a seasoned pro and continues to grow musically. He is among other things part of the European quintet led by Thelonious Monk award winner guitarist Jess van Ruller. The solo I transcribed is taken from the CD: Metropole - Weniger; a collaboration of the dutch Metropole Orchestra and Peter Weniger.

I transcribed this solo especially to explore playing triplets instead of eigth notes as a base for improvisa on. The song is an old standard: There's No Greater Love. Peter Weniger plays this on soprano; I am not a saxophone player however, so I transcribed the whole thing for C-instruments. Like I said before, you'll have to transpose everything anyway if you really want to practice the material, so that souldn't matter. Enjoy!!
